Uploading and using digital content-  This could be a risk because it is not copyrighted which means anybody could use your content without your permission.

Respect towards others/colleagues-  You could accidentally say something about others or colleagues on blogspot and this could cause trouble.


Company/school data protection- You could lose some of your schools/ companies data, on purpose or by accident.

Ownership/copyright of images/videos/music- You could upload a image/video/or music and somebody could take it without your permission, also the other way around.

Plagiarism- You could upload a image/video/or music /your idea, this means people could take it without your permission, also the other way around.

Privacy of information-  You could lose someone elses information or even your own. This could result in people seeing confidential information.

Cyber bullying-  If you have a disagreement at school/work then this could result in cyber bullying.

Spam-  If someone gets hold of your confidential information then they could send you spam emails/texts.

Phishing-  Somebody could send you an email trying to hack into your confidential information.

A blogsite is an effective way of communication because you can post to each other and comment on each other's postings. It saves trees because you are not using paper. You cannot lose your work because it is automatically saved online. Your work is easy to access, and you can access it anywhere such as mobile devices etc. Also you get much quicker feedback because your teacher can comment back at any time, and so can you whereas if you were working in a book then you have to wait until your lesson to get feedback.

Some of the safety issues when using blogsites if you put your personal details on are ….

* Being stalked - People could get details of where you live and come to your house

* Being cyberbullied - People could find out personal things about you and harass you.

* Fraud

* Identity theft- Somebody could steal you picture and pretend to be you.
This is because you are displaying your details to anyone on the internet. You can avoid these issues by changing your privacy settings to ---> “Private”

-You should never leave yourself logged on to your computer when your not on it.
-You should always put passwords onto your computer especially if its shared.
- Do not tell ANYONE your password
- Make sure you use a safe password so that nobody could guess it

- On blogspot you can make your privacy settings to high

Why is Blog Spot an effective method of communication?

Blog spot is an effective method of communication because it can be accessed anywhere! For example, on your phone, on your Ipad and on android tablets. This is good because you can finish or complete work on the go. You also don't have to carry around paper because you are using blog spot to write on and if you don't use paper its better for the environment. Lastly,if your teacher/boss needs to comment or give feedback on your work and you don't have time to check it you can access it on the go.
